Description
Salamifish Fillet Lookbuilding tools is a collection of different dctls to shape looks. It works with a cylindrical colour model and is build to be used on log camera footage. It comes with predefined transfer curve selection for logc3, aces cct, davinci intermediate and tlog. Please tell me in the purchase note, which working colourspace you want to have as default.
Fillet Tuna is the big tool for primary look decisions. You have a contrast tool with some colour awareness options, a undertone tool which lets you easily create separated looks without being too aggressive and an optional high opposite tool if you want the opposite hue from the undertone to be a highlight tint. The undertone colour itself can be selected via colour pot at the bottom. A chromatool is equipped with a/b chroma, a overall chroma and a/b colour crosstalk. All these operations can be limited with Chroma und Lightness Focus to f.e. only low saturated bright colours. On top you can reduce colours which are too saturated for their brightness in order to not appear as fluorescent colours with Luminour G0 drop. G0 is the level of greyness 0 which determines if a colour looks like a surface colour or a fluorescent colour based on Ralph M. Evans The perception of color. Tuna alone is a combination of Smart Contrast, Natural Chroma, LABlooks and can do even more. Tuna is also designed for grading panel usage.

Fillet Yellyfish. Yellyfish can shape 7 vectors individually (skin, Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow). It comes as version A with icons or as version B without icons and another order of sliders. Internally the vectors are set like parallel nodes so that they all work with the same input. Per vector you can change hue, chroma and lightness. Lightness is especially optimized for changes without artifacts-nevertheless use it with caution. On top you have compress which brings hues closer to each other (f.e. for even out skintones). If you go negative with compression you push similar colours apart from each other. For skin you also have a colour pot to do offset changes. Affecting all vectors you can set chroma and lightness focus to only affect f.e. desaturated darker colours. You can also change the hue range of the selection. As soon as you go away from default a checkerboard matte displays and gives you an idea where the tool will work on. You need to deselect the matte afterwards. To avoid scrolling I would do that with a grading panel (Mini / Advanced) if available.

Fillet Seahorse is a smaller version of Yellyfish where you can focus on one vector and can use those modifications really in detail. You have more leverage with lightness changes and can show individual mattes for Lightness and the other tools. Seahorse works also on a grading panel.

Fillet Squidtone is a classical Splittoning tool with a couple of options. You can select the two colours via colour pot at the bottom and select how much amount, how much dirtyness and how much achromatic affect you want to have. So with this options it is much easier to use, even for HDR projects. Squidtone works also on a grading panel.

Be aware that you need Davinci Resolve Studio 19 or later for this dctl and try the demo first. Also have a look at these short screencaptures. Current Version runs on Mac, Windows and Linux. Please be also aware that it can last up to 24 hours until you receive the tools after payment or hear from me.
